The Social Science Division is concerned with discovering consumer preferences towards cellular agriculture products.
There is much that the cellular agriculture industry will need to know if it is to develop products that consumers around the world will be interested in. Marketing research of cell-ag has already proven to be a salient area of work for the field. For instance, early research suggesting consumer interest in clean meat has spurred growth in the industry drawing investors like Bill Gates to join the cause. This work is of particularly high value since it is generally low cost to carry out, but of high value to the field.
Members of the Social Science Division collaborate, research, and plan projects that seek to shed light on future consumer behavior in the space of cellular agriculture.
Current/Working projects include...
Collaborating with the Legal Division determining peoples’ attitudes towards labeling and regulation of clean meat
Surveying people on their interest towards future consumption of clean meat and cellular agriculture products
